I left Hampton School in 1999 and went on to study Biology and Physiology
at Oxford. While there I rowed in the University Boat Race four times, coming
away with three wins, the final one as President, and by only one foot.
I have since been back to Hampton to do a little teaching and coaching -
trying to pass on some of what I learnt. I spent a lot of time training
on the bike at Oxford and see this trip as a great way to see the US and
raise money for a good cause.

After leaving Hampton in 1999, I studied Chemistry at Oxford. In my final
year I represented the university in the lightweight reserve boat race against
Cambridge. Although I have a job lined up to start in the autumn, I found
myself looking for a new goal to achieve in the mean time. That goal has
materialised in the form of a 4000 mile cycle ride for charity!
